Hello Panther Family,
We are thrilled your student has chosen to attend LaGrange College. Now that you have a student at LC, you are a member of Panther family too!
LC promise states “Wherever you start, whatever your dream, we promise you respect, challenge, inspiration, and support as you work to achieve your potential for success in life and career”. LaGrange College provides an outstanding educational experience in and out of the classroom. Whatever your student is aspiring to, we promise to support them – and you – in their collegiate journey and beyond.
At LC, we also know that with your help and support, your student will succeed. While navigating our website, you’ll find valuable resources to help you support your student throughout their LC experience.
We look forward to connecting with you throughout your Panther’s journey. Please do not hesitate to contact us via email at orientation@36837a.com when needed.
Welcome to NSO, Panther Family & Guests!
NSO is not just for our incoming LC Panthers, it’s for you as well! Whether you have visited the LaGrange College campus before or not, there is always something to learn, something to experience, and someone to meet.
The Office of Housing and Student Life look forward to welcoming you and your student to campus during NSO. We know the importance of acclimating your student to campus and recognize the critical role you continue to play in your student’s development, education, and success. Panther Family Orientation provides parents, family members, and guests with resources and tools to support your student. From meeting faculty and staff, to learning about financial support, to providing tools to make the transition to college a success – Panther Family Orientation is for you!
While attending Panther Family Orientation is not required, it is a great way for parents, family members, and guests to connect with each other, learn ways to support your Panther, and build relationships with faculty and staff. The Orientation Team strongly believes you are an integral part of your student’s transition to college – we hope you will choose to attend NSO.
NSO Information:
- Parents, families, and guests participate in an overlapping schedule with their student. There are specific Panther Family sessions and specific Student sessions throughout the NSO experience. The Student sessions are student-only times, as we strive to give them the tools and encourage them to build relationships with their peers.
- First-year student NSO is a two-day experience. Transfer student and dual enrollment NSO sessions are one day experiences.
- The fee for first year NSO is $150. This covers the student’s overnight stay, two guests, resources for NSO, and meals during orientation. Additional guests are welcome and may attend NSO for an additional $40 per guest.
- First year commuter students are required to stay on campus for NSO. This allows students to build relationships with incoming Panthers – and provides you with a similar experience to our residential students during NSO.
- The fee for transfer NSO is $65. This covers the cost of one guest, meals during the day, and resources provided during NSO. Additional guests are welcome and may be registered for an additional $25 per guest.
- Overnight housing is not provided for parents and guests.
- Parents and guests will NOT be allowed to attend the advising and registration session on Day 2 with their student.
